Open your eyes, here the greenery dominates. In the charming Calevoet district and its neighbor Moensberg, there is a village atmosphere. Bordering Drogenbos and Linkebeek, it is the ideal place for nature lovers. Close to the E19 and well served by public transport, these districts in the south of Uccle are popular with families.
Here you are in the south of Uccle near the Prince of Orange, Stalle and Dieweg. From here, take the Drogenbos road to the Observatory district or the N261 to cross Uccle to the Churchill district.
We take you to Linkebeek, only 1 km away from Moensberg. Start at the town square of Linkebeek. Here you can do your basic shopping, enjoy the beautiful flower arrangements at Senteurs et Couleurs or buy the latest novel at the Once Upon a Time bookshop.
Now it’s time to relax. If there is one place that cannot be ignored in the area, it is the Holleken farm. Don’t expect to see animals there, it is in fact a cultural center in the neighborhood that offers many activities: theater, exhibitions, film club, storytelling walks…
Another popular place for parents and their children is the Cycle-Farm, a cooperative urban farm where you can pick your flowers and harvest your vegetables. The area is also great for hiking, go to the Vallée des Artistes for an easy 6 km walk. Ideal with children!
Follow the street Hollebeek, then the street of the Brewery. On your left, just before reaching Moensberg, you will find the Linkebeeksport Tennis club. A nice place in the middle of nature, well known by parents for their summer aperitifs. You can spend a pleasant moment there while your children play on the playground.
Take the chaussée d’Alsemberg, just before the level crossing and stop at the Lokale grocery store where organic and bulk products are a delight for lovers of good healthy products. A little further, around the Uccle-Calevoet train station, you will find many schools and shops, including the Bio-Planet. Take advantage of the opportunity to have a good wine recommended to you at the Gelin wine shop and to taste the sweets of the Tidane fine cookie factory…
Continue on your way and reach the border with Zwartbeek. This is where you will find the NEMO33 diving pool, a popular training place for divers.
The end of the day is approaching! Hungry for something to eat? The neighborhood is full of nice restaurants like the Thai Noï or the bistronomic restaurant « Monsieur V ». Further on, on the side of the French School, you will find the restaurant La Branche d’Olivier, a must.
